| On Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, the Forney ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2013-2014 school calendar. The 2013-2014 school calendar was developed by the District and the District Education Improvement Council (DEIC). Two calendars were developed and all employees in Forney ISD completed a survey to determine which calendar they believed would be the best educational calendar for the students and staff of Forney ISD. More than 78 percent of the employees selected the calendar that was presented to the Board at the January Board of Trustees meeting.
