New School Hours for the 2013-2014 School YearBeginning with the 2013-2014 school year, all Forney ISD schools will have new start and end times.
Below are the new start and end times for all elementary schools, middle schools and high schools in Forney ISD for the 2013-2014 school year. START TIME END TIME ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS - 7:40 a.m. 3 p.m. The Forney ISD Board of Trustees approved the school calendar for the 2013-2014 school year during the Board's regular monthly Board meeting on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.  As part of the eBook program, Forney ISD offers parents/guardians the opportunity to purchase a third party insurance plan to cover any expenses for damages that may occur to the laptop. The district has partnered with Student Insurance Partners to provide optional insurance coverage for parents to cover the cost of damages on the district issued student laptops. The policy with Student Insurance Partners provides for replacement cost coverage and protects the laptop against accidental damage (drops/spills), theft, vandalism, fire, flood, natural disasters and power surges due to lightning strikes. Click here for more details.FISD Announcements FISD Flyer Packet Day for Non-Profit Organizations Forney ISD will host two flyer packet days during the 2013-2014 for non-profit organizations to send flyers home with elementary students. The two flyer packet days are September 13 and February 7. Click here for more details. FHS Wind Ensemble Captures First Place The FHS Wind Ensemble placed first in the Texas Music Educator Association's (TMEA) Region III Honor Band Session on Friday, June 7. It was the first time an FHS band has been ranked as the Best Band in the TMEA Region III Honor Band Competition. New School Hours for 2013-2014 Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, all Forney ISD schools will have new start and end times. Elementary schools will start at 7:40 a.m., middle schools will start at 8:25 a.m. and high schools will start at 8:20 a.m. Click here for more details. FISD Summer Hours All schools except Forney High School and Claybon Elementary will be closed beginning Monday, June 17 through Friday, August 2. FISD Central Administration will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Click here for more details. Forney ISD Summer Athletic Camps 2013 Forney ISD has released information about all of the summer athletic camps for Forney High School and North Forney High School for 2013.
